I have a Caldera Marino, and it's reasonably enjoyable. The seating options are good, the jets are strong, controls are nice, and the lights are good. It's a great way to relax and spend to time together.
However, there are some things that I wish were better:
Energy efficiency is a BIG concern. My first winter with the spa, my electric bill increased by 50% for each month that the spa was in use. Before this, I was exactly on par or below my neighbors' usage. (My electric utility provides this info). After installing the SPA, my usage went up by 50% each month, which equates to ~$100/month during the winter. There is NO INSULATION on the front 25% of the spa where the heater, pumps, and control board is located. When the front access panel is removed, you can literally touch the backside of the fiberglass spa shell and feel the heat coming through from the heated water. Also, the SPA FROG system was promised to make bromine dosing EASY. However, even with a fresh bromine cartridges set on max setting, the bromine always reads '0'. This is for multiple bromine cartridges and test kits. The way that I resolve this issue is to use a floating bromine system, in addition to the inline "SPA FROG" system.

I am glad to hear that you are enjoying your spa and finding relaxing.
While your Marino spa does have some of the best insulation available for a portable spa, the equipment compartment does need to be accessible.
However, I can understand your concern, especially during the cold winter months. Therefor, you can use an insulation blanket, it is designed to help keep the equipment compartment warm. It is available at most hardware stores or local spa dealer. Please remember to remove the blanket when the temperature warms up.
While floating devices are not recommend I can see why you would try it. I will email you directly for further water care assistance.

First time ever owning a tub and love it. We know others that have purchased other brands that requires chlorine and they seem to have more complaints about taking care of it.

The spa and the dealer are top notch. The frog chemical system makes it easy to care for and the Bluetooth brings it all together. Make sure you follow the initial setup instructions and you will be fine. I usually check the levels daily but weekly is probably fine.

I replaced my 24 year old hot tub last year with a Caldera
Marino Tub. Why did I wait so long? The new tub is great.
More jets, great on the foot jets, my grandkids love the waterfall. Overall, easier to take care of and is more efficient. Glad we made this choice.

Great value, super quiet and very relaxing. Lights give visual ambiance at night. You will really enjoy your hot tub. My wife and I use it for medicinal aches and pain. Also just fun for yourself and family.

I purchased my Caldera Hot Tub at Costco, of all places. The entire purchasing experience was pleasant and the salesman was knowledgeable and professional. The Hot Tub was delivered with care. Since installation, the Hot Tub has been wonderful. It is energy efficient and the water and jets work flawlessly and I have had it for a little over a year. I highly recommend the Caldera line of Hot Tubs.

After owning another spa for 19 years and moving it 8 times we splurged and bought a new one. We could not be happier. Technology has improve drastically over the last 19 years. Nathan at Virginia Leisure was a great help educating us into the new century.

I know this is a little picky because I truly love and enjoy my spa daily but...
Why can't they build it to fully drain when it's time to replace the water? I have to drag out the wet vac to finish it off which isn't too hard but seems unnecessary
That's the only negative- otherwise excellent!

After a little trouble learning how to properly maintain our Hot Tub we now enjoy it every night!!!
Our only wish is that we bought it from a different dealer. Not at all happy with the information and/or customer service received from the company we purchased the spa from. Very very happy with the service & help from a local company.
