Part of the Family!!!!
PostedSeptember 4, 2014
Our hot tub is a family member! Everyone loves it, we use it every day, and we've had 2 first dates in the hot tub turn into engagements! Thank you so much. Our spa is like brand new after 3 years. So easy to care for and big enough for 6! Our friends that sold us our spa are wonderful: Covenant Industries.

Nice Hot Tub
PostedSeptember 4, 2014
This was our first hot tub and it has performed to our expectations. It's roomy enough and has enough options for jets and lights to enjoy. Quality seems to be good and still looking like new. Dealer was helpfull with any questions and provided discounts on future chemical purchases.

Welcome to the Caldera family! We appreciate your purchase of the Palatino and know that with minimal maintenance and good water care system in place, it will provide years of hot water relaxation to your family! Happy Hot Tubbing!

We've had our Palatino spa now for almost a year and we couldn't be happier with it. Even though it could easily seat 5-6 people, we rarely have more than the two of us. I enjoy the extra room and the extra jets on this spa. Owning a spa has improved our physical and mental health. There's nothing like being in a spa at night with your wife and watching shooting stars overhead. We should have purchased one years ago. We use our spa 3-4 times per week all year round. It's easy to maintain and well worth it.

After a long day, my wife and I put the kids to bed and relax in the hot tub. It is great to unwind and a great time to talk about the day.
I have never had any issues with the hot tub. It has been great.

Best purchase I've made since a pickup truck
PostedSeptember 4, 2014
Even in the Arizona summer heat, relaxing at night in the spa is wonderful, just turn the temp down and the spa is actually cooler than the air temp but you still get the relaxed feeling of the water jets. In the winter the 102 water temp is perfect for those 40 degree nights.

I have owned my hottub since December when it was delivered. It is very powerful and enjoyable. However my electric bill went up 200 dollars each month in January February and March. That was a bit shocking. I drained the tub last week as instructed as periodic maintenance from my sales rep Rich. (He is excellent and helpful with his advice and interest in my satisfaction.) after refilling tub I discover it keeps triggering breaker and is unuseable. I am seeking the assitance of the service dept of Alpin Haus. They think its the heater so are going to come out and replace it under warranty on Monday. I had no idea my electricity bill would increase that much. Apparently the tub isnt quite as efficient and insulated as I was led to believe.

Thank you for your feedback.
It appears that you haven’t had a positive hot tub experience. I assure you cost-effectiveness is important to us and I would like to work with you in person to better understand how to address these issues. Please look for an email from Watkins in your inbox.
In the meantime please see attached link for Caldera energy efficiency.
Awesome hot tub. We use it at least 4 times per week, if not more. We have had our Palitino for almost a month. We knew we would use it and enjoy it, but never guessed we would love it as much as we do. Not only do we love our hot tub we love the service we get from Wanda at Sweetwater.

Extremely Disappointed
PostedApril 28, 2013
I am totally disappointed with the quality of the cabinet on our new Caldera Vacanza Palatino Spa. After having a IHT Hot Springs Spa for several years and having to completely remove the redwood siding twice to remove rodent damage and droppings, I was done with having a hot tub in our rural location.
However, as my wife and I walked though our local Costco Warehouse on Sunday, March 17th, 2013, the spa display caught our attention. I talked with the salesperson and expressed my concern about keeping mice and rodents out and our previous experiences. I was assured that "These new spas are totally sealed" and mice and rodents are no longer a problem. Our spa was finally delivered Friday, April 26, 2013. Somewhat longer than the two to three weeks it was initially promised but we remained patient thoughout the process. The three guys that delivered it were great. They were much more customer service oriented than the commission hungry salesman. They set it up and explained everything in a professional manner. Later that evening, I decided to check the spa's construction. I used a telescoping mirror that I have used for years doing automotive mechanical work. I was shocked to discover the underside of the cabinet beneath the polymer siding is basically "Raw Wood." I counted at least four 1/2" openings or gaps just waiting for a mouse to crawl inside and begin destroying the insulation. In addition to the openings, there are 1/8" to almost 1/4" gaps in the wood. None of these are caulked and painted. There is some black paint on the base but the area directly behind the bottom of the siding is totally raw exposed wood. This is one of those rare moments when I wish I had not paid cash, almost $6,800.00 with taxes, for an item because now I have no recourse. This is not an item worthy of that kind of price with this level of or lack thereof of quality.
We have not even filled it and used it yet because I will have to basically rebuild the bottom of the cabinet before we can use it. I know if I fill it and begin using it without fixing the obvious manufacturing defects, the mice will come and the wood will rot. I doubt it would last two years without repairing the base of the cabinet.

This was our first hot tub and it has exceeded our expectations. We use it almost daily. I'm glad we purchased the Palatino with the extra massage jets. The water circulation is outstanding. The filter is easy to clean and the unit drains easily when it is necessary to replace the water. We really like single-user cover to get in and out of the tub. Balancing the chemicals was a little tricky at first but now is routine. We've owned the unit for 8 months and the it has performed flawlessly.

Palatino, overall a good purchase.
PostedApril 9, 2013
As the cold weather arrived the up-keep of the water became a problem. The water color and a strong smell when you uncovered it. Checking with test kit daily and adjusting the chemicals was a must. Was bringing a sample in almost weekly.I had a large inground pool 16-32 8ft. deep.Taking care of that was never a problem. The winter season the electrical cost tripled. I tried all different ways, from lowering the temp at night, sleeper mode, to keeping it set at 100 degrees all the time. Cleaning the hot tub every three months is a must. Even during the winter months.a challenge in the north-east. My family does enjoy it,

Love our spa
PostedApril 9, 2013
We love our spa. When we got it, we assumed we would use it a lot, but we have exceeded our expectations. We use it in the winter and the summer. When it snows, the spa is excellent. In the summer, we turn the temperature down and can spend an evening enjoying the spa.

Initial Quality problems resolved with new spa.
PostedApril 8, 2013
Our initial spa had issues. After having it installed by an experienced electrician the spa would overheat with temps up to 110 degrees. The company that sold us the spa worked on it several times with Caldera on the phone. Come to find out there were many parts missing and incorrectly installed from the factory. Once this was discovered Caldera made the decision to just replace the complete spa and the one we received afterwards has worked great. Not sure the Spa Frog is effective as I have to add chemicals every week to keep the water balanced but other wise it has been good.

Good decision
PostedApril 8, 2013
My wife and I really procrastinated about the purchase of a spa. We looked at competition and felt Caldera was a very good value for money. Our spa has completed our back yard retreat. We enjoy it every day. It has been very relaxing and theraputic. A very good alternative to an expensive pool. Don't hesitate, jump in and relax!
