Great little hot tub.

We added a deck and new hot tub to our patio area. The Kauai fits our needs perfectly. It is small - 3 person - but jets hit all areas, back, legs feet and even hands! The maintenance has been easy and our energy bills have been very small for its continued operation throughout a Colorado winter and spring.

We are very happy we chose this tub over a larger one. The problem with many big tubs is that you and your significant other are sitting miles apart in the corners instead of right next to each other like in the Kauai. Reality is most times the tub is used by one or two people not six. I like that it is lower in height and takes up less space as well.

We bought our spa after numerous back surgeries between us We love this spa. The only negative for us would be you really have to sit up Work it to reach your lower back And it’s difficult to include your hips It is built very nicely built and is a beautiful spa other Than that. It is easy to operate and we are learning to adjust the Chlorine.

Great spa for 2 people

With only 1 pump for this spa, you will have to choose which jets to activate if you want full power directed where you need it. If you are ok with that, this is a great spa. I use this spa 3 or 4 times a week in the evening to massage my leg muscles after a long run. I had to be creative to get the powerful jets to hit right where I need the massages but now (after a couple months of use), I have found the right settings and sitting positions (not always how the seats are designed) for me. I massage my calves, front/back thighs, back and neck using 8 different positions The low profile makes it very easy to get in/out without a step and makes the spa less intrusive in the backyard. It is also much more quiet than other brands in stand-by mode which is great. I recommend this spa as a 1 or 2 people spa.

The reason I use hot-tub is to stretch my achy body each morn.This acrylic shell is very hard on my body and not as easy to slide around in the tub,as was my old Kauai.

Thank you for your review and feedback. The acrylic of the shell is the same however we have made some seating changes. Allowing the bather to sink into each seat as if being hugged by the jets in a relaxing position. Bromine is a great product to use to keep your water clean. There are adjustments on the cartridge that can be made that should help it last longer. If you should have any questions, Customer Service is available at 800-6691881.

I just love my caldera spa. My little Kawai is perched on a platform with the Pergola in my backyard and it’s the most wonderful thing. I get in that after a hard day at work and the massaging jets in warm water just melt all my aches and pains and stress away. Despite its small size it seems large and I have plenty of room for myself and a friend or two. I highly recommend the caldera spa Kawai model.

Poor quality bad disign and terrible service

I have 2 Caldera the first has leaking problems.
The second has 3 speakers and audio systeem and leaking also.
I pay 2000 euro,s more for the second Caldera for the audio system.
But now the audio system is disabled because the speakers are leaking.

Major design flaw

When you fill the spa it is not possible to avoid an airlock in the pump. This requires the tub to be dismantled so that you can access the pump to prime it - as described in a throw away line in troubleshooting. This is a major design flaw in this model

Priming the pumps is part of the normal start up. Its is listed in the owners manual along with all other important operational functions. However, I will contact your dealer and ask them for evaluate your spa and make sure all is in working order. Thank you for your post.

My heater has broken twice in the 2 years I've owned it, And the jet motor has burned out as well. In addition the water drainage valve was glued shut and I had to have a service man come out and cut of the valve and replace it. They were familiar with this being a problem too. Not sure why it was sold to me with the valve glued shut. One of the LED lights has burnt out as well. Fighting the warranty to get this tub repaired required a lot of energy as well.
This hot tub is not engineered well. I'm very sad about this purchase and wished I went with a Hot Springs Tub.

We are a couple in our late sixties and this is our first spa. We love it. It is easy to use and keep up. I was expecting more juggling of the chemicals but it has not turned out that way.

Looked at many smaller hot tubs and didn't want to return to a Jetsetter we had years ago because of smaller size seats and limited jets. The Caldera Kauai was the best fit for a two member family. It's an excellent soak for one person and comfortable with two. We would purchase it again however wish it had micro bubbles like the Martinique offers.

I believe the 'micro-bubbles' you are referring to is an 'ozone' system, which injects ozone into the main circulation system of the spa. The 'Monarch' ozone system is an upgrade you can add to the Kauai, through your local selling dealer. Excellent way to relax

We have used hot tubs for 25 years as we find them to be very useful for relaxation and for relief of aches and pains. We needed a new spa for the two of us and the Caldera Kauai is just the right size. I do recommend buying the cover lifter and possibly a hand rail; we are an older couple. While we have only had the spa a short time, it appears to be easy to maintain. Very happy with our purchase.

Terrible Buying Experience

My wife and I just purchased our spa. So far we really like it, however the buying experience has been aweful! Your videos show ease of water maintenance, but our spa came without Frog system. The manual comes with an addendum telling you that it should be included. Dealer sends box of chemicals and tells us this is better. If you want the Frog system we'll sell it to you, but it's more expensive and it smells. So we don't know what we are supposed to be doing.
