My Third Kauai Spa in 25 Years

I just traded in my Kauai spa for a saltwater Kauai. I haveitindoors and the saltwater water technology minimizes chlorine smell I the house. I am happy and my wife is very Happy.

Frustrating…shuts down a lot!

This tub has done wonders for my arthritis but…I have to restart at the electric panel 10-15 times a week…or more.
Keeps saying to check for filter obstructions and there are never any. And, yes…the filter is clean.
I’m now going to pay a $99 service call for a 4 month old tub.
Not pleased…

Good spa. Disappointed in the service

1st of all, it has strong jets. There are no jets for the hamstring area. The spa is probably a little overpriced.
The installers alerted me a cracked corner panel. They put in a service order for another one. After about 6 weeks, a service tech arrived. After spending over an hour taking off the old one, he said the new one was also cracked. After he left, there was insulation left on the ground. At this point, I don't know if another panel has been ordered. I have no idea of the status. Obviously, for 2 cracked panels to leave the factory is a serious quality control issue. I waited to see if I would hear anything concerning the panel before writing a review. I have heard nothing. I find this very disappointing. Unless things are rectified, I would hesitate to recommend your company.

It is a very solid unit... Love the salt system. Heats up quickly and the jets do a great job. Nicest spa we have ever had... and we have had a few. Also.... you get what you pay for.

We found Caldera Spas after going to several others stores. We determined this store to be the one after meeting and talking with Randy.
Randy delivered exactly what we described and his after sales service is as good as his presale!
We are struggling with the water, trying to get it right. Randy cheerily helps us, and we are getting better,
As far as the size (and we asked for this) I would say it is more a two-person spa. I am sure three could get in but it would be tight. We told Randy we were looking for "us" and we got what we asked for. Occasionally, a third person would be fine, but on a daily basis I still think this is better suites as a two person!

Was sold a damaged and repaired tub as a new tub

Caldera shipped a damaged and repaired tub to our dealer and sold to us as a new tub. After 6 months the finish started to flake off in one area of the tub. The dealer looked at it and said it looked like it had been repaired and called the Caldera and it had. They said they would replace it, but it has been 3 months and still no new tub. Very disappointed in Caldera’s integrity. Dealer said it will be at least another month.

Moving back from Japan where we visited bath houses a few times a week, living again in the USA was a shock. We looked at 4 different stores and ended up with the Kauai because of the size, shape and the feel of the tub. It has been perfect for our needs. Salt system works fine if you keep an eye on it. I just wish it could get a little hotter... 42 or 43 deg c.

We love our Caldera Kauai spa my wife uses it every night and I use it at least 5 times a week.We have owned two other spas and this one is the best one we have owned.The salt system is best it took a little time to get the spa balanced but once you do it maintains itself.For the next refill it should be a breeze to get it regulated since I know how much salt and alkilinity decreaser to add.Everyone of the seats gives you different therapy relief and the seats are very comfortable.Jessie at Robertsons Billiards and Spas was very knowledgeable helpful on setting up our Caldera Kauai spa.If your looking to purchase a spa look no further and purchase a Caldera spa

Neither my husband nor I had ever owned our own hot tub. We love it…use it almost daily. We have a Kauai. Perfect size for the two of us. We love how each of the seats has different jet patterns - great for what ails us individually that day. The salt system wasn’t functioning properly when we got it. Took a few days for the technician to get us squared away. All good now. Very easy to maintain.

The 3 person is just we needed. Nothing extra. Easy to place, easy to maintain and heat. The Salt system is easier than I thought it would be. It's a game changer. This is our second hot tub; first from Caldera. I think Caldera's quality and attention to detail is better than most.

This hot tub was worth the wait. We use it everyday, often twice! We love the ease of getting in and out with the low profile design. It's easy to care for. It's incredibly quiet while in circulation mode which was important to us. We hope to keep this spa for many years and feel this one will stand the test of time!

The tub is a perfect size, and the saltwater aspect of this tub is phenomenal!
Don't get out of the tub with chemical feeling on your body. The only feeling you have is a soft, smooth texture that you just want to share with the world:)

I’m a single user. Love this size spa/ it fits well in my deck. Well made, nice lighting.
A couple of issues:
- my use is moderate at best- 20 min soaks 5x/week. However the salt system doesn’t keep up- I set it pretty low (4) as recommended. But I frequently test low chlorine so have to run it in boost pretty often.
- this tub is lower than most. So the steps are too high. Maybe need only a single step configuration.
- I would enjoy to jets speeds rather than one. A low setting would be an improvement.
Overall I’m happy. The water clarity is great. The spa is a good size. It’s well made.

Tub has some issues that you might need to address tub has a slick finish mine is 2 weeks in use so could be the water??? need texture on bottom ??? Needs more grab Bars seems to me like 75% of people buying Hot tubs are over 60.Thanks

I purchased a Caldera Spa for my wife as a Christmas present in 2021. We have used it every day since it was delivered. We love how much it helps us to relax at the end of a busy day. My 3-person Kauai spa works perfectly. The jets on the lounge really help my sore back muscles after gardening. The led lights work great! Mine has the salt system which is much better than adding chlorine. Nice on the skin too. I selected the cover with lift system which glides the cover smoothly on or off with a finger. We would buy this again!
