Awesome hot tub; awesome salesperson

After considering several hot tub options, I purchased this tub. I am so impressed with the tub - it far exceeds my expectations!!!
The jet power is most surprising; I actually levitate off the chase.
But I have to mention my salesperson, Richard P at Prisco Hot Tubs, Greenwich CT. He is the quintessential perfect salesman because he listened and addressed all my questions, concerns and desires regarding this purchase. I don’t think I would have made the purchase if he wasn’t my salesperson.

Nice spa but was unaware this model did not monitor the water quality without upgraded package and had no external indicators letting you know it’s working properly and up to temperature.

Really enjoying my spa!

Recently I was in need of a spa (my last one died after almost 20 years). The single biggest change was price, I had sticker shock! I searched out a few different spas and based on quality, my local dealer and the overall deal the Caldera Paradise series Martinique spa was the one for me. Overall it met all my personal requirement and is a great looking and functioning spa. The deep contoured seats are very comfortable. Overall the jets do a wonderful job of relieving my chronic pain. The only small issue that I have so far is that I wish the smaller pump was a bit more powerful, by the time the water flows to the last couple jets, the air and water flow are clearly less powerful than the rest of the jets. In the overall scope of things this is relatively minor compared to all the benefits this tub offers. Overall it is a super nice hot tub and very stylish as well.

Great way to unwind

We've had the spa for about a month now and have used it almost every day! We particularly enjoy using it when the weather is coldest! Beside the benefit of soothing sore muscles, it's nice to eek out a bit of time to just relax and catch up on our day. Our doctor recommended we start hydrotherapy, and having our own spa is way better than a membership somewhere. I wasn't sure I would even use it, but here I am using it every day and loving it!

I have had Watkin's products for over twenty years. Primarily I had Hot Springs tubs. When we moved to the shore we purchased a Prodigy, but had lots of problems with it. Fast forward 10 years and we just bought a Caldera to see if we had better luck. So far we are totally pleased. We especially love the salt water option! The one reoccurring issue I have with all the Watkins tubs is the control panel. The Martinique is especially difficult, to impossible, to use when in the tub! Why they can't orient the panel to face inside the tub is a mystery to me! A minor gripe!

1. On the home screen, press and hold the BACK button until the screen rotates 180° to view from inside the spa.
2. Repeat the process to reverse the screen orientation.

Cannot Get IQ to Work
The store that sold us the tub said the water has to be perfect when the tub is set up for the IQ to correctly monitor levels. The IQ has not worked since we got the tub almost 5 months ago. The installers had to replace the unit because it wasn't working and it took months to get the new device in and re-wired. It is still not measuring the chemicals in the water correctly. It is telling me to add 1-2 cups of salt for the salt - chlorine conversion, but there is TOO MUCH chlorine. It is off the charts on the test strip, completely white indicating salt water levels above 3000 ppm. Took water sample into the store and it tested at 2000 ppm. IQ said PH was low, but store test said PH was high. Going to drain tub and try to start over. Also, tub is sudsy when jets running but unknown what chemicals can be used to correct the sudsy issue since many chemicals interfere with IQ system. Unhappy with system and store is not familiar with new technology to assist. Paid a lot extra for this system and not sure if it will work, but other than this complicated issue we like the jets and seating so gave an extra star for that.

While I'm happy with the quality of my tub, I am extremely disappointed with the complicated, and often contradictory instruction I have received from my dealer. A simple, postable set of instructions should be readily available.

Our new spa is easy to use and care for. We are not using chlorine ,but using the enzyme drops. No chlorine smell on our suits and skin. Perfect size for us also!

Horrible customer service.
My new hot tub has been “delivered” today with no instructions at all even the owner manual is missing.
I have a 20k hot tub in my backyard with a lot of chemicals which I can’t use and I have no clue what I have to do with it.

This is our third hot tub, and by far the best. Hotsprings Spas in Billings Montana were excellent during the purchase were excellent during the install, and we couldn’t be happier. The best spa chemicals we’ve ever had, the most forceful jets for massage that we’ve ever had, and not forceful if you want a lesser setting very beautiful, holds the heat, we couldn’t be happier. Thank you.

This unit has it where it counts (pumps, jets, indulation, ease of computer interface) and we would buy it again with no reservations. Same aspects are on the cheap side like the jet button covers blowing off and the filter cover floating away but it is a solid value.
