I have had all kinds of spas and maintained them most of my life so I know spas. I had a Caldara Genevieve the same but bigger than my current Tahitian. When we moved I knew I wanted just what I had because it worked so well. We got the Tahitian 2 years ago and it has worked flawlessly. Perfect water quality, stays very clean and maintence is simple. I use it daily and would highly recomend Cladara / Watkins highly. I live in TX and it is amn all weather unit. I dont do reviews often but this spa deserved to shine.

2nd purchase of the same hot tub

Unfortunately we moved to a new house &our Caldera Utopian hot tub was built into our deck, so we have to sell with our old house.
We used the hot tub every day (except if it was raining) and it was part of our daily routine. This was our first hot tub and it was still almost new condition.
The first thing I did was buy the exact same hot tub when we decided the old one had to stay with the old house. The new one is in place & we love the new salt water system.

Our second tub. No issues with first. Front panel would not come off at install and bottom clips and upper clip broken at install. Poor dealer follow up. Overflow grate is not level.

This is the best spa ever! The volcano jets are so great. After a day of skiing or hiking they make our legs feel so much better. No other spa has jets like the volcanos It seems like there is a jet for every sore spot-from the lower back to the neck! I’m definitely liking the salt system too!
I actually was able to try it out before I bought it. Lacy my spa consultant really helped me find the right spa for my family. I went to every shop in the valley and looked extensively on line too. I am very happy with this purchase. Thanks!

Our first Caldera Tahitian was 25 years old when a lightening strike fried the mother board which was no longer available. Our new Tahitian is more powerful, jet wise, lighting system is excellent, and we could not be happier.

I visited every place around and found amazing help choosing the correct tub for my needs. I sat in many tubs and even got a water brick seat to bring me to the correct height for enjoying our tub. Size and type of tub changed many times. Lacy helped me every step of the way! Ended up custom ordering so 4 to 6 weeks wait ended up only being 4 weeks. The delivery guys were awesome and went over my tub with me. After I got the correct electrical done I took the water in to get tested…. ( everyone should do this)! I also asked questions the whole time with lots of advice from the Wellness Consultants and knew I had support ready if needed. The tub is super quiet and last night as it was heating and cycling I could barely hear it. I waited to set up levels because I have 12 weekly maintenance visits (one of many surprises that made this experience great)! Anthony my water maintenance guy was great explaining what to look for and how my chemicals and salt system work (this was great because it matched what Lacy explained and my manual). Today between rain showers I got in the tub. I love it! I checked out all the jets and even in the cold with all of jets on the temperature of the tub stayed constant. The jets are amazing and I love this tub. Thanks Lacy and the amazing team at the Medford Oregon Hot Tub!

We’ve had our Caldera Tahitian for about 6 yrs now. We use it practically every week, 52 weeks of the year and we live in NJ.
Early on, the main board failed but this was quickly resolved under warranty. Other than that we’ve had zero technical issues. We have the dark interior and grey exterior and it is still a good looking tub! The size is just right with a nice lounge seat and ample room for 5- 6 adults if needed. I find the upkeep easy with just one large water filter and the 24-7 heat pump/filter coupled with the daily automatic full clean session keeps the tub clear and clean at all times. Little bit of chloride weekly is all it takes. The only call out for us has been that the exterior of this tub (apparently designed by engineers from BMW automotive) has been rather flimsy. The exterior panels can come lose and have needed some small repairs (velcro and tape). Not sure if that has been updated in recent years. It looks very slick and chique though with black on grey! Energy costs have been great. As said the tub is on all year at 100F and I don’t think we’ve seen our energy bill jump by much, and that includes cold NE winters. When it snows, the snow on the cover doesn’t melt despite a 100F water temperature inside. This is our first tub and while the Tahitian is a pricey tub we had expected some issues, but 6 yrs of constant use have been worry free and nothing but joy of use!

Easy to chill and relax. Worries seem to float away as you get out feeling warmed and quiet. The music is a great feature. Couldn’t imagine it without.

I purchased a Caldera Spa from Recreation Unlimited and after three weeks the heater has died. I reported the problem on Saturday and received a call back on Tuesday for a possible repair service on Thursday. The inconvenience with the downtime, service and product quality leave a lot be desired. Oh, not to mention the extreme amount of work required to maintain the tub. Based on my experience thus far…1 star.

This is my 3rd hot tub. Getting use to the saltwater tub vs the chemical Bromine tub took me a little time, but I got it down. The program used to control the hot tub is a little too critical. When I want to use the hot tub I sometimes get messages, like have you checked the water with the chem sticks. I find that annoying, I just want to get in the hot tub, not answer questions. This is just too much. It is also difficult to read in the sunlight. The water does stay clearer for a longer period than my chemical hot tub so it requires fewer water changes. The jets are great.

I purchased my Caldera in 2015 and when I sold my house, the new owner wanted it, so I left it there. So I purchased a 2022 Tarino (smaller) for my new house. Being a former Caldera owner, I knew my next tub would be another Caldera! Best spas EVER period!!

Perfect Hot Tub for Us

Absolutely love our Tahitian hot tub. We have had it for 1 year now and have used it regularly every week from fall through spring. It has been a big hit with the adult kids who come over much more frequently now. I think the Tahitian is the perfect size. Holds 6 people comfortably. The lounger is my favorite seat. Just something about having all those jets hit the right spots. I was worried it would take a lot of upkeep but with the salt water system it is so easy to maintain. As others have said - why did I wait so long!!

My wife and I purchased the Caldera Utopia series Tahitian spa in July 2021. We have now owned almost a year and zero problems to date. Our previous spa was a Hot Springs Jetsetter (also made by Watkins who makes Caldera) which we thought was amazing. The Jetsetter was about 20 years old and still working but we were ready for a larger and more modern spa. The Tahitian is awesome! We knew we wanted to stay with a Watkins product, so we looked at Hot Springs and Caldera. Overall, the Caldera seems to be a step above the Hot Springs with regards to the overall look and feel and options. Also, the Tahitian had just the right size and seat layout for us. Our Tahitian has the bluetooth speaker system which I would not have added but I am very happy with that feature now that I've experienced it. I would suggest this feature even if you have an outdoor sound system because the sound in the tub while pumps are running is so much better than our outside speakers, and the volume doesn't have to be as loud as an external stereo to still enjoy the sound. In my opinion, there's no better spa on the market than Caldera or Hot Springs. If you know you're going to use a spa for years, I would suggest these spas. You can buy cheaper, but the quality is just not there like it is with the Caldera spa!

We had an earlier model for over 15 years and recently purchased the Tahitian salt water model. It’s very low maintenance and comes with some new water and light features that are new to us. We are thrilled with it!

We have loved our new hot tub!!!! The only minor things is that the light on the water fall had some major condensation after a month of use. The vendor we purchased our tub from did replace it.

Worst big purchase of our lives

Our hot tub was delivered in September 2020. COVID teaching had been so rough and we needed a way to de stress. Ha! This thing has been nothing but stress in between a few times it actually worked correctly. Now the whole screen panel won’t even light up- we have no jets and no hot water in our “hot tub”. We have a $13000 piece of junk on our patio taking up space, an extra bill to pay for the pleasure of housing the thing. We had to pay to update the electric, the cartridges last only about 2 months (not the promised 4) and cost $100 each. Not to mention all the water we have wasted because it turns green when it doesn’t work and we have to refill it. If you’re thinking about getting one, don’t.
