"Ahh-Mazing!" Is all you will be saying after you get into the Caldera Niagara. It is very spacious and comfortable. This tub is perfect for relaxation and partying. This is our first hot tub and I've always heard how difficult they are to take care of. The Salt System coupled with the Freshwater IQ makes it incredibly easy. It basically takes care of itself. We started out with an inflatable hot tub to see if we would use one. After a few years, we finally upgraded and it was the best decision. It's easier to take care of, more energy efficient and WAY comfier!
We purchased our Niagara tub about 3 months ago, we love our spa. We have owned several spas over the years and this spa is by far the best, the construction, ease of water care and lights are all first rate. My wife insisted on the salt system or "I couldn't get another spa" so I relented. She was right, no chlorine smell or that feeling you get from a chlorine spa on your skin. Although this spa is not inexpensive it's quality, water care and appearance made it well worth the price.
I love this hot tub so much! It's the fifth one I've owned, and let me tell you, the Caldera Niagara takes the cake.
Comfort: This is by far the most comfortable hot tub I’ve ever sat in. The foot ridge and the contour of the seats are a game-changer. Honestly, I get so cozy in it that I’ve fallen asleep! It’s the only hot tub that has ever done that for me.
Quality: Let’s talk about the quality—it's seriously impressive. Caldera really knows how to build a hot tub that lasts! The materials they use are top-notch, and you can tell just by looking at it. The cabinets are super durable and can handle whatever Mother Nature throws at them. Plus, the shell is solid, so you don’t have to worry about it cracking or fading over time. And I love how stylish it looks! The sleek lines and smooth curves add a little flair to my backyard, making it a focal point for all my friends and family.
Ease of Water Care: Now, let’s talk about the Freshwater IQ. Once you get it started correctly, it’s a breeze. It practically takes care of itself! Just remember, getting everything balanced before turning on the Freshwater IQ is key to this system working perfectly.
Energy Efficiency: I barely notice it on my electric bill, even during the freezing cold months here in South Dakota.
Overall, apples to apples, the Caldera Niagara is by far the best value on the market. If you’re in the market for a hot tub, do yourself a favor and check this one out!

Perfect tub if you don’t wanna DIY repairs

We bought this tub five years ago and it works fabulously. I agree with most of the positive comments in the other reviews so I won’t repeat them here. I’m writing this review today because I have a very small leak somewhere and attempted to investigate it myself. I successfully removed the convoluted side panels to gain access to the inner workings and discovered the complete mess of insulation that is loose and blowing all over in the wind, as well as the surprisingly inconsistently hand-cut wood frame. Yes, I could spend a minimum of $500 to get a professional out here to fix the leak but I was hoping I could at least investigate it myself. I can’t believe a spa that cost as much as it did wouldn’t have a steel or aluminum frame that could be consistently assembled at the factory to the same quality standards for every unit they put out and utilize easy to remove and reinstall insulation. I’m just gonna wait till the leak gets worse, reopen the panels, shop vac the insulation, fix the leak and stuff some better insulation back in. Great tub otherwise.

We had it for almost 2 years and absolutely love it. It's jets are incredibly powerful, the light features and music make it a very customizable relaxing experience. The maintenance is also very easy with the salt system, and very easy to keep clean.

We have had our Niagara for 10 years. We've only had to replace the pumps. They made it just past warranty, of course. The built in speakers quit working after a couple years. Not surprised. Generally, very happy with our spa. Easy to keep water in good condition and very comfortable.

problems with new hot tub

we put our hot tub into service on 9/16/24 since then it has put itself into protection mode sever times the jets on the southwest corner do not work and the remaining jet surge from strong to weak
We have contacted combined pool and spa in sioux falls and they have been good however these problems after 3 months should not be happening with a brand new spa

As far as the comfort of the spa we love it! There are so many options for the jets. We can adjust everything to what suites us best. However, the spa keeps sending me an alert that shows "Heater Power Fault". My dealer has not been any help in troubleshooting this message. There is no information on the message in the Caldera manual. I have no idea what it means. I wish there was someone I could reach out to about this since my dealer is no help.

So many issues with the tub that we had to figure out on our own. Tub came with a blown fuse. Circulation pump was not even connected. The light up logo doesn’t work. The salt water cartridge was missing one of the leads to plug-in. tried calling and left messages, no one has called us back

This is our second Spa and we can’t believe the advances that have been made in spa technology. And our Caldera Niagara spa is sensational! The seating, jets, waterfall, and lighting systems are phenomenal. And the water chemistry is very simple to maintain within specs. We love it!!

We are first time hot tub owners so we don’t have a good basis to judge but we have found calderaspas to be very frustrating, so much work and no customer service. For the price, it has been very disappointing. I cannot recommend and totally regret our purchase. Please make sure you thoroughly research beforehand.

This past summer we added a large multi layered deck to our home. It was originally going to be caped off by moving our existing Caldera Niagara of 15 years as an end piece that we could walk out to. Unfortunately time was not on our side and had some issues related to its overall infrastructure. Our Caldera Spa dealer in town worked with us and we were able to find another Niagara that we love just as much!

We have had the spa for 2 weeks now. Very happy with it. The neck jets aren't tall enough for tall people however. Minor point - why isn't there an app for controls for your phone? Otherwise no complaints.

This Spa is Well Worth It

This is our first spa and we went for a higher end model and it was worth it. We've been in a lot of spas at hotels and VRBOs but nothing like this. The massage functinos are incredible. Only downsides so far is that the power occassionally needs to be reset, which often requires rebalancing of the chemicals and the remote communication function is not yet available despite the fact that we ordered half a year ago.

Great spa except for panel design

So far we've had it for 2 months, we love the design and the seating options it came with. All the electrical components seem to work as designed and the jets all seem very strong. The only two complaints I have are the panel fastening system that attaches the front and side panels to the tub. It's seems like a horribly designed system with movable clips that easily falls out of alignment causing a risk of snapping them since there are about 9 per side an you cannot see them when reattaching the panel (by hitting it in place). Another disappointment is the interior framing is only made of standard lower grade wood pieces that have obvious imperfections causing splitting, etc. After so many years in business I would expect both of these flaws would have been engineered "out" of the design.

The wife and i love our first hot tub. Perfect for post-workout rejuvenation or simply to relax. We use it almost every day. I wish I'd gotten it years ago. The Niagara was a great choice for us, perfect size and easy to maintain.
