Overall, I give the Caldera Geneva hot tub 5 stars. It is easy to maintain. I love the Fresh Water Salt System. It has great LED lights throughout. My wife and I relax in it almost every night. I only gave the Geneva 4 out of 5 on comfort because some of the jets could be in better spots, but I still love this hot tub.

New Hot Tub Came Broken

Been on site 3 times, still not fixed. Diverter valve leaks when turn on jets. Now they want to cut into the piping and refit a valve they say is too short and thats what is causing the leak. So, you buy an expensive hot tub, expecting quality and you get poor workmanship. Company hasnt even made an attempt to compensate for the poor quality of the product or inconvenience. I have had tub 3 weeks and its been unusable 6 of those days. At this point, I would not recommend tub or Backyard Leisure. My opinion may change if this gets repaired and they make it right.

We love our purchase back in October 2020. We had to wait till July of 2021 to have it installed. Got it all working by August because of making sure all the electrical was properly done by a Licensed Electrician. Everyone that has come here to enjoy our gatherings has thoroughly enjoyed it. Medically it was the best buy that we ever bought due to many back, foot shoulder, and sciatic issues.
We bought the Covana to raise and lower the covering over it which kept the heat in and vermin and critters out.
I am truly sorry we haven't posted this earlier because we like to make sure we got what we were sold. A great spa and very ergonomic for our bodies. I want to give a shout-out to ROBERTSON BILLIARD SUPPLIES, INC in Tampa Florida, and their sales staff Jenny for being patient with us. I called them a few times on the concrete pad and electrical prerequisites to ensure we did everything correctly. I poured a 6" thick by 10' by 9-foot pad with the electrical conduit under the slab. The unit came with a 50 amp sub panel.
We also haven't noticed hardly any power increase in our electric bill.
Also, the picture is our set with the unit draining to add a new tub of water. I highly recommend using your softened water with it also.

The Geneva & Martinque need to have a baby. I loved my Martinque for 13 years & wanted more jets so I upgraded to the Geneva and am honestly disappointed. If there was a bigger five person with about 45 jets it would be perfect.
There are barely any cup holders compared to the Martinque, the neck jets are a pain and after 4 weeks I still cannot get them adjusted to be comfortable and not spit water in my face, you cannot sit in the two main seats with the jets full force for both at the same time (I could do this in the Martinque). This saltwater system is a complete pain compared to good old fashion chlorine.
It is a nice spa but not near as comfortable and what I was looking forward to.

The Utopia Geneva is our first spa, installed in December 2021 and we’ve been very happy with it so far. There are a lot of jets with this model and a lot of control options (direction, flow, etc), very well engineered. The 2 pumps are powerful and provide good massage action. Water maintenance is so easy with the Freshwater salt system, it takes care of the chlorine, we basically just need to monitor it.
Knowing which valves control which jets and which direction to turn them is not always intuitive, it’s still taking me a while to get used to them but I’ll get there.
The one item on my “wish list”:
Allow temperature adjustment from my smartphone. In 2022, this should be a standard feature. They have some sort of paid service that includes this so I know the hardware is there but for the price we paid for the spa, I think smartphone control should be included. I just want to be able to turn it up/down without needing to uncover the spa. Maybe a future firmware update will give this to us!

In summary … we love it and are so glad we went ahead and bought it. We like that it’s something we are able to use year round (unlike a pool). We are looking forward to many years of use.

This is a excellent hot tub. It can fit up to six people, has multiple massaging jets and can be fresh or salt water. I’ve used mine multiple times a week and it has helped me recovered from physical fatigue and sore muscles.

We viewed and reviewed several hot tubs, but we were sold quickly on the Geneva model. We believe the quality of the workmanship and materials exceeded the other brands and the prices remain competitive. We're very glad we chose Caldera!

This is our third hot tub and by far the best. It is so well designed to get the jets to hit all the right places. I suffer from severe arthritis and this is such a relief to soak in every night. The salt water system is so easy to use you don’t have to even worry about water chemistry. It’s all automatic. I highly recommend this spa.

We've had the Geneva for 7 months now and use it 2-3 times a week. Its a great size, runs quiet, the seats are comfortable and the jets powerful. We have had some issues balancing the salt/chlorine, and the salt cartridge doesn't last anywhere near as long as expected/advertised - but overall we are very happy with it. Build quality is good apart from some dodgy hole drilling to fit the filter sluice bracket, which makes the sluice look weird.

The Geneva is the latest in a long line of spas we have owned over the years, starting with a California Cooperage redwood hot tub back in the 70s. The Caldera Geneva is clearly the best ever. It is not only visually appealing, but it also moves a massive amount of water, and is exceedingly easy to maintain. The entire package is very well thought out, by a company who obviously knows exactly what makes a great spa, with jets galore. While we hope to get decades of use out of our Geneva, if it ever needs replacement it will be with another Caldera product. We love it!

The sleek design & comfort are perfect. Each seat targets all my injured body parts after multiple auto accidents. The salt system has made maintenance simple and never need to really do anything. Even though it was on the more expensive side, the cost is well worth it! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a very relaxing experience.

I’m so happy we went with the salt system. Having a chemical spa in the past, I know what a pain it is trying to keep everything in balance. With the salt system? No struggle at all! Getting ready to do the first water change and I’m not dreading it as I used to with our old spa.

SAFETY: More inside hand bars for safety are needed

My husband enjoys the salt water hot tub for his health. For Comfort I rated it a 5. More hand bars are needed inside the tub. It's hard to get in and out especially if you're over 55 yrs old. It's only one hand bar inside the Geneva Model. Caldera could do a better job with giving a new purchaser lessons on how to operate the tub for maximum efficiency, especially on water care. The jets are too complex to correlate to the actually jet circulation and output. The sales people were helpful and did their best. After installation, there needs to be dedicated rep to assist. There are too many YouTubers giving different advice. The instructional manual is so-so. The Caldera Hot tub is an expensive purchase to leave a new user to learn on their own. I suspect the warranty is not that good when it comes down to it. I recommend that Caldera should incorporate a rep for after installation and a maintenance program for their products.
