My family endured a long search for a spa that had one specific feature - room for at least four pairs of feet! The Salina had a large footwell and also the perfect balance of power, jet options and easy to maintain features for the price.
Service by Caldera was excellent. When i had an issue with the spa cover, my local dealer (in Canada) was able to liaise with Caldera and eventually i was able to speak with their customer service line directly. The end result - new cover components were shipped directly to my door!

What can I say, it does what you expect in a spa of this quality. Easy to set up and use. Easy water care. Easy maintenance. Always ready when you are to jump in. Very comfortable with great jet options and positions. We used it all winter, and put it down to 93 for summer cool-off dips. Very happy with our purchase.

As first time spa owners this has been a great purchase. With the frog system water care has been easy to maintain. I think you get a lot in this spa for the price. Plenty of jets, with lots of options. The controls are easy to use and the spa is great quality. We couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase.

I use my Caldera Salina daily and enjoy the message and relaxation that comes with it. It also provides a great venue for get-togethers with family and friends. It's easy to care for, though I had no success with the Frog system that came with it. The chemical readings had to be adjusted daily, so I just use test strips and adjust the chemicals as necessary, usually just once a week.

Having only purchased the Salina less than a month ago, the moment my family stepped into the spa, we were in a tranquil bliss! Love all the jets and different seats. I prefer the powerful seat with 6 jets while my wife prefers the more subdued seat with a mild massage. We have spent many relaxing evening in the Salina. We are looking forward to enjoying it for many years to come!

We've had our spa for 8 months and absolutely love it. We've had up to eight people in the spa but most of the time it is just my wife and I. Each seat provides a different message that can be adjusted from soft to invigorating. Whenever there is a clear night out we will usually be out in the spa enjoying a great time under the stars. It didn't take too long to master the water care. I find that keeping a log helps with the water care.

I purchased my Caldera spa in October 2012. Since then my family and I have spent many evenings relaxing in our spa. The warm waters and massaging jets work wonders on my 40+ year old body and feel great after a long days physical labor. Originally I purchased the spa as a gathering spot for my family but found an added benefit when it helped relieve a nagging back pain I had for years. Physical therapy, cortisone, memory foam mattress, I tried them all and had given up, boy was I surprised when a 20 minute soak took away my nagging pain. Thank you Caldera! Another great benefit was getting the family unplugged and all together, just to talk and hear about their day as we soak in the spa. Every family needs some time like that and this product helped bring us together. Even if only to gaze at the stars...I love my Caldera spa!

We knew all the benefits we'd receive from being spa owners, but didn't know if the upkeep would be too daunting. It has been fairly effortless and we have been enjoying its benefits all winter long. We are so happy to have a place to go unwind and melt our stress away. I would never hesitate to recommend this spa and the wonderful folks we purchased it from. Win win!

Extremely happy with my Caldera Paradise Salina spa - water care is easy, taking just a few minutes a week and comfort is great. Particularly appreciate the depth (I'm 6') and variety of jets with very comfortable space for up to 4 adults - any more than that need to be good friends. Only negatives is the "spinning" jets don't really spin that well - have cleaned them but that doesn't seem to make any difference, so these jets really default to being able to be pointed rather than rotating freely. But, really, if doing it over I would be happy to buy this spa again.

We bought the Salina model. It so wonderfl. The only issue would be that directions and instructions on water care was vague, because, of this vagueness after only 3 weeks I had to drain the spa and start over. (wasting chemicals). By trial and error I figured it out and since June the water is clear. I use it everynight

Water care.
Posted November 8, 2012
I as if the water care is not the fault of the spa. It seems to me that if the dealer would have been more thorough with the education process this might have been an easier process.
I do agree the instructions are vague and could be better written.

We have had our Salina hot tub for three years and one month, and now the exterior panels are coming off. Overall we have really enjoyed this hot tub, but just very disappointed that now things are starting to fall apart and it’s out of warranty by 1 month. The salt cells are easy to replace every 4 months, but they are not cheap, so that is definitely something to take into consideration when purchasing a hot tub. The other thing to keep in mind is that the insulated cover will retain water after it rains and that can make it very heavy to lift. Our cover lift broke and ripped the cover, so now that’s another thousand dollars will be looking at putting into this. In hindsight, I probably would not get a hot tub again.

Thanks for reaching out with your review of your Salina. We're glad that you've enjoyed your spa so far. I'm very sorry though to hear that you've started having trouble with it.

It is understandably disappointing when things start to go wrong. The covers are expected to be replaced. The longevity of your cover will depend on the unique conditions your cover faces. You can find more information on our covers and what to expect here: https://www.calderaspas.com/hot-tub-tips/what-do-i-need-know-about-my-hot-tub-cover

In regard to your other concerns, I'd like to reach out to you and get some more details and see if I can help in any way. Please be sure to keep an eye out for an email from us.

Thank you again for taking the time to post. I look forward to working with you.

Bought the Caldera Salina, paid $13K. It’s a nice spa; works well (1 month in); soothing, nice lights, decent seats, good jets. My first spa, so not able to compare the capabilities and the price, but in absolute terms:
(1) there are only two “jets” which would be better named “areas”, and while one area can be set to low or high, for some unknown reason the other area can only either be high or off, (2) the filter cover looks like a step or at the very least a seat, but its not (if you step or sit on it, the cover will break and you’ll have to replace it - just seems poorly designed), and (3) this is minor, but it seems like the controls should face in towards the spa (they face out) as 99% of the time, you’re inside the spa and you want to change the temp, change the lights, or change the jets. Don’t get me wrong, so far its a lot of fun and it works great. Comfortable and soothing, and a good way to relax. Just some things that could be better, and for that amount of money, you’d think you’d get.

We love our spa. It is relatively easy to maintain, and I spend a lot of time in it. What I do not care for however is the associated cost with the salt ionization cartridge. I wish I would have asked more questions during the buying process to understand that these cartridges only last three to four months each. Each cartridge is costly and the accumulated cost over the life of the hot tub far away is the cost of chemicals!!
By Customer Service Caldera VanessaApril 16, 2021
Hello LH

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your spa experience.

I am happy to hear that you love your Salina spa. Water care shouldn't be frustrating, and the good news is that you have options.

If the salt system is not your ideal care program, you can switch to chlorine or bromine.
I will email you and review the features and benefits of all options.

When considering water care, the cost is the main factor; however, many others also consider the feel and smell of the water and how long it will last before it needs to be changed out.

Many hot tubbers love that the water lasts a year before needing to be changed out and the soft feel to their skin with the salt system.

I am sure we can work together to find the best system for you.

Happy Hot Tubbing!

Thank you for your review. Congratulations on your new Salina. I hope that you are enjoying the benefits of hot water therapy. I would like to offer some help regarding your concern on the salt system not generating enough chlorine. I also want to make sure that your dealer has reviewed the breaker issue and if not, offer some assistance to you both. Please look for my email.

We love our new Salina spa. It’s comfortable and spacious and jets are all well positioned. The only thing we would
Like to know is why we can’t use a frog or floating bromine pod? Can we? We find having to run clean cycle and add granular bromine after every use a bit hard. Any advice appreciated?? Thanks.
Response from Caldera SpasBy VanessaCustomer Service August 3, 2020
Thank you for your review. I am glad to hear you love your new Salina Spa. Great question about the floater. The reason that we do not recommend using a floater is because of the off-gassing and the larger chemical particles that can break off and can rest on the shell.
When the floater is off-gassing under the spa cover, it can damage it. Also, as the bromine tables begin to dissolve in the floater, larger particles can break off and sit on the shell before it completely dissolves, causing chemical burns on the shell.
Water care can take some getting used to, and I want to make sure that you have all the support that you need. Please look for an email from me.
