We like this tub very much. It is very good looking and The jets are very powerful. My only criticism is that the jet selector controls can be confusing.

We shopped many spas before purchasing a Caldera. None really provided the comfort the Niagra does. But neither did others provide the size, colors and overall quality this spa provides. After nearly 3 years of service we have no regret for spending the money for this spa.

We bought our hot tub 4 years ago and were extremely happy with it. In the 3rd year, we noticed the shell bubbling in a few areas and contacted the company about it. They ended up replacing the spa!! I highly recommend Caldera - they are a company that stands behind their product. We absolutely love our hot tub!!!

As most couples ,we were hesitant to invest in something that was a want and not a need in this challenging economic climate but are so happy we made the big step. Our hot tub has definitely brought us closer together and gives us something to look forward to at the end of our stressful days. We start out taling and getting caught up and then turn on the jets and become quiet and peaceful to de-stress for the evening. We absolutely love our spa and have told all our family and friends and co-workers to think seriously about enriching their lives as we did ours!

Simply the best!

We bought our Niagara in 2005 and since it's just a great experience. We would recommend it to any one...specially up north like us in Montreal, Qc. The winter experience is totally unbelievable!!! over and above...cheap to operate.

We have had the spa for 2 weeks now. Very happy with it. The neck jets aren't tall enough for tall people however. Minor point - why isn't there an app for controls for your phone? Otherwise no complaints.

So far we've had it for 2 months, we love the design and the seating options it came with. All the electrical components seem to work as designed and the jets all seem very strong. The only two complaints I have are the panel fastening system that attaches the front and side panels to the tub. It's seems like a horribly designed system with movable clips that easily falls out of alignment causing a risk of snapping them since there are about 9 per side an you cannot see them when reattaching the panel (by hitting it in place). Another disappointment is the interior framing is only made of standard lower grade wood pieces that have obvious imperfections causing splitting, etc. After so many years in business I would expect both of these flaws would have been engineered "out" of the design.

When our hot tub was installed the dealer did not have the salt system in stock. It took over a week before they installed the salt system. The tub was installed in October and we have already had two items to break. The dealer indicated the parts are in warranty but we would have to pay to have them come out and intalll the parts. As for comfort, the tub is comfortatle once you get in however there is a hump in the floor under the controls that makes it awkward to move from one side of the tub to the other side. This is a safety concern.

High quality experience once you learn all the jets

I got the salt water Niagara and its a beast. They say it can hold 7, but realistically its 4. The experience is excellent in the sense that you don't smell chlorine or chemicals while you are in it, nor do you smell like any chemicals after you get out. So that's a step up in the hot tub world for sure. It should be noted that if you have psoriasis or eczema that a salt water experience is the way to go...but there is no joy if you have active open sores on your body.
The negatives are livable: There is a lack of user training for controlling the jets and what they show you in the user manual is useless. There are so many jet controls that are dependent on the position of other jet controls and as I said, its a pain to learn them. Lastly - 2 jets physically broke off/broke out of the jet position. Dunno if thats a factory build issue or an issue that happened during transportation.

I am a long time hot tub owner and this my first salt water system. I like the hot tub but have had some problems. The first problem is that one of the knobs that controls the jets shot off. I had to pay for a service call to repair it. They had to come out twice and said that the valves still may leak a little. The second issue I am still having is that the jets fluctuate in power occasionally. The technician said that it is a design flaw with the water flow. It drives my wife crazy when we are trying to relax and the jets start going hard and soft on their own. The final complaint I have is the salt water canisters that last up to 4 months each. Well, mine haven't lasted more than 3 months and at over a hundred bucks a pop, the maintenance cost just for the salt canisters is over $400 a year. Knowing all of the issues, I am not sure we would purchase the same hot tub. It is an expensive hot tub and it is expensive to maintain. All that being said, it is still a nice hot tub overall.

One of the best discretionary purchases I have ever made. Combined with Covid WFH I work out every morning jump into the hot tub then go work my 15 hour video call day. Great way to start he day. Only glitch I have is the salt system indicator has been throwing off a blinking light signal indicating system to working. At times it has stopped working because the salt cartridge has gotten hinged up and iat times it is a false indicator. My dealer has been trying to trouble shoot this but to no avail yet. A bit of an annoyance but the tub is still very operational.

We have had our hot tub for over 1 year now and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. We would purchase an other in a heart beat! I cannot say enough good things about it. With that being said though, it does still take a lot of time and maintenance to keep up with the chemicals and salt.

We bought our hot tub this past February and are so glad we did! We love it and use it almost daily. Our family of 6 can sit in it, but more often it's just two or three in it at a time. I really loved the idea of having a saltwater tub, but admit it's a learning curve getting the water right. I feel our dealership was lacking in after purchase assistance. We just drained it and refilled it this past weekend for the first time and I learned online about the recommendation to use a silver ion cartridge to extend the life/cleanliness of the water. I just ordered some from an online dealer I found. My biggest complaint is that the salt cartridges are expensive and they only last us about a month, maybe 2 months. I'm hoping the silver cartridges will help extend that time because not only are the cartridges expensive ($130 each) but we have to drive about 45 minutes to the nearest dealer to pick them up. I was so thankful that I just found an online dealer to eliminate that inconvenience. Love the tub, just hoping the cartridges are going to last longer with the silver! Not sure why that wasn't something recommended to us by the dealer???

We chose this spa as it came with a great reputation, and we loved the look, feel, and features. We still love the look, feel, and features of the spa. However, we spent a lot of money for a very nice spa and we've had multiple quality issues, mostly pertaining to diverter valves. Spare parts seem to be a lead time issue from the factory. I've owned the spa for 6 months and still have the problems.

This is my second Caldera spa. Sadly had to leave my first spa behind when I moved. We enjoy our Niagra spa. It has lots of room for friends. The jets are amazing and hit all the right spots. Water care has been very easy. My only complaint is that the jets are so complicated it is hard to figure out completely, even after a full year of use! The guide isn’t that helpful. We have also had a few small plastic jet covers come off and have had to have them re-glued.

We got our new Caldera Utopia Niagra spa back in May 2016 and really enjoy it. It is so easy to stay in it for several hours just relaxing. It is so rejuvenating and does wonders for our sore muscles.
Overall I am extremely happy with the spa. Unfortunately the service from the dealer is not up to par. My advice is, make sure your dealer service is reputable and they actually want to keep you after a sale has been made. There are so many good things I could say about our spa but I really want to mention the not so good items.
1. The sound system. It was an impulse buy to add the stereo system and we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we don't use it. The sound is not even (i.e. 2 of the speakers over power the other 6.) You can't hear music in one seat and go deaf in another. Dealer states there is no problem. Turning it on takes away any pleasure from the spa.
2. Flow noise. My spa has excessive noise through the couple of the diverters. So much so that no one wants to adjust it to the max position for the ectaseat. Dealer says this is normal however, their floor models are very quiet. One of the reasons I wanted a Utopia series is for the quietness.
3. Panels. My rear panel does not close. The Velcro used to secure it is ineffective. I have a feeling the dealer improperly installed the cover lifter causing excess force on the panel. It's been about 5 months and they still show no interest in fixing it.
4. The cover started to come apart a couple months after we got it. This may be more of a cover lifter installation problem than a quality problem but it is worth mentioning. It has been almost 8 weeks since I was told Caldera would replace the cover however, I haven't received it nor has the dealership contacted me.

We really like the hot tub shell and and operation of the jets and valves. It does take time to get use to what each diverter does to water flow. We are not as impressed with the cabinet that is around it. The panels keep coming loose on one of the sides. It was a replaced panel for one that had blown off when they were delivering the hot tub.
The siding is really flimsy but I do like the fact that it is easily removable.

Please know that the cover and straps are not meant to withstand high winds or extreme weather. In fact the cover is meant to keep small children out and safe from drowning. If you know winds will be gusting please take precautions to tie the cover down. Extra precautions should be taken for other weather events too like hail or snow.

Problem with siding as well

We purchased a 2018 Niagara and within a week after we used it the cover blew up, one corner clip and strap fell off and a back clip popped off. The siding is also not on all the way, I push in the velcro and it doesn't stay. I went to the dealer 1 month ago and he said he would contact Caldera about the strap but I haven't heard back yet so I'll check on it. For 12k+ the siding, clips and straps should be better quality.

i love this tub all around. I use this just about everyday.
Easy to maintain.
The only issue I have is that since I purchased 10 months ago I have had to replace on average about 1 wifi speaker a month.
they do not hold up to the water and heat which is very disappointing. Especially since they are $50/each right now warranty covers them but what happens when the warranty is up?
